REDLANDS, CA – Community leader and advocate for public education, Ryan Schavrien, today announced his candidacy for the Redlands Unified School District Board of Education, Trustee Area 2. Schavrien, a longtime resident of Redlands, is running to bring a focus on student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and strong community partnerships to the district.
“As a parent and active community member, I believe our schools should provide every student with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed,” said Schavrien. “Our district is facing important decisions, and we need thoughtful leadership that prioritizes student outcomes, supports educators, and ensures accountability to the families we serve.”
Schavrien’s campaign will focus on three core priorities:

In addition to his professional background in finance, Schavrien has been active in local community organizations and parent groups, working to expand opportunities for youth and strengthen neighborhood schools.
“I am committed to listening, learning, and working alongside parents, teachers, and the community to make Redlands schools the best they can be,” Schavrien added.
